South Korea is a country situated in East Asia in the Korean Peninsula. With its population of close to 51 million people it ranks 27th globally. The capital city is Seoul and the official language is Korean. South Korea is member of UN, G-20 and many more international organisations.

Economy

South Korea has a well-developed market economy, which places it on the 11th spot for GDP per capita in the world. The country is one of the Four Asian Tigers (Singapore, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan). Its economy is focused on exporting high-tech products, (mostly automobiles and electronics). The country is 5th in the world by exports and 8th by imports.

In South Korea there are 370 higher education institutions in total, which are split into public and private ones.

International Students
