The Information Technologies programs, better known abroad as Programming or Computer Science, is focused on computer systems, various programming languages, creation and testing of programs, code writing, and program error trouble-shooting.
Students completing this degree usually receive extra certificates, such as C++, Java, Visual C#, as well as certificate for software and applications development.
U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) (www.bls.gov) projects an 8% decline in the demand for computer engineers between 2014-2024, but predicted an over 19% growth in the creation of new jobs for software engineers and applications developers. The average annual salary of the latter is estimated at $102,160, also according to BLS.
